Just Another Sign of a New Generation
There was a time when you could look out your window and see children riding their bikes or walking to and from their friend’s houses. Today when you look out your window you may see a totally different scene. If you live in the suburbs there is a very good chance you will spot the local teens riding up and down the block on customized golf carts. It is not rare to see golf carts painted in every color of the rainbow with specialized license plates on them with the name “Taylor” or “Brittney” on them. This is because a major trend among the American youth and owning golf carts.
Just take a look at a series of Christmas wish lists submitted by teens in the US. About 60% of them or more will contain a request for a golf cart like Jenny’s down the street. In fact, there is a competition among kids for who can get the most expensive and feature intensive golf cart. Owning a fancy golf cart has become a status symbol much like designer jeans were back in the 1980’s. The downside to this trend is that a pair of designer jeans may have cost $80 whereas a golf cart can cost anywhere from $1000 to $5000 depending on how nice you want it to be.
For some parents golf carts are somewhat out of their price range. Fortunately, there are always ads that can be found in Seattle newspaper classified electric golf carts for sale as well as used golf carts that people are selling just to get rid of for a number of reasons. If you get lucky you just may be able to deliver a nice shiny golf cart for Christmas this year without breaking the bank in the meantime and that will surely put a smile on your kid’s face.
